Tura,Jan 17, 2026: The Rajabala case saw a major update as West Garo Hills police arrested two more suspects from Diara in South Salmara, Assam. With these arrests, the total number of detainees in connection with the case has reached eight.
The arrests are linked to the mob attack on January 9, which led to the death of ACHIK member Dilseng M. Sangma and left another member seriously injured. Early reports suggest that disputes over illegal stone quarrying activities in Rajabala may have triggered the violent confrontation.
