DANGAR, June 18: The Dangar Balat electricity supply issue continues to concern people living in the border areas, who say frequent power cuts are affecting their daily lives, businesses, offices, banks, and financial transactions.
According to local residents, the continued disruption of electricity has created difficulties across the region. They said many activities are often delayed or interrupted because of the unstable power supply.
Students are among the most affected by the frequent power cuts, locals said. The interruptions make it difficult for them to study, complete assignments, and maintain their daily study routine. Parents and other members of the public have also expressed concern about the impact on education.
Local people stated that power shortages were also experienced when FEDCO was managing the service. They said the situation continued even after SAI Company took over. According to them, SAI Company has since left the office, and no authority or office in-charge has assumed charge since then.
Concern has also been raised over what some people described as high electricity bills. They said the continued power disruptions and the absence of an office in-charge have added to the difficulties faced by the local population.
As the area is located along the international border, local people said a stable electricity supply is important. They added that continued power disruptions have created difficulties for those living in the area. Some also expressed concern that the absence of electricity could make the area more vulnerable to theft, dacoity, and other anti-social activities, including those that may involve cross-border elements. They said a reliable power supply would help improve security and the well-being of people living in the area.
Many people in the area said that the lack of electricity remains a matter of concern. They expressed hope that the government and the concerned authorities would look into the issue and take steps to improve the power supply situation.
Senior citizens, students, well-wishers, and other residents have appealed to the government and the concerned authorities to address the issue and provide a lasting solution to the electricity problems faced by the people of Dangar and Balat.
